core aeration estimate

What is a way to go about pricing core aeration?
I've seen some places charging $25.00 per 1000 square foot.
If you have 1 - 5000 square feet that seems pretty reasonable,
when you get into the acre lots it seems a little outrageous.
does any one have a simple formula?

First try a search. It has been said quite a bit in the last month. But to answer your question, I charge 25 plus 10 per 1000. so a 4000 sqft lawn is 65. This is for my regular customers though. for the rest it is 25 and 15-20 per 1000 pending obsticles. Now this is what my market can bare. Yours will be slightly different.

I like the multiple of mowing charge theory - We charge 2X mowing charge for fert. and weed control + chemical. and 3X for areation.

That is what we charge. I did run a flyer this fall with $60 up to 5,000 sq.ft. and $10 for each additional 1,000 sq. ft. I had a disclaimer for small gates and area not accessible by a 60" aerator. This grosses $180+/hr using a tow behind and keeping tight routes.

Not trying to pick a fight with you, but you raise so many questions in my mind. What kind of aerator do you use that allows for price to be judged by your wide area mower?

$14 to $16 per 1000 sq ft(slope determines which rate) We wont do any property larger than 20k because we dont have a tow behind. Minimum is $75
