paul, i was hoping you might try to expand on your question. as a service business, it's obviously difficult as most things you might try to sell would fly counter to what your business is trying to accomplish.

On my articles page, I had added recommended books with a link supplied by Amazon.com.

They can give a commission or trade.

But I removed that after a few days of consideration.

On reason was that the page does not draw enough traffic, and a substantial number of books would have to be bought to qualify for the minimum.

But the main reason was that the book ads seemed out of place.

Now I'm mainly back to my service and useful landscape tips.

Selll yourself. Put pictures of yards you mow or before and after pics of landscapes projects. I wouldn't bother with trying to sell items on you website. Lawncare websites should be just for showing what you have done for others and what you can do for future customers who are interested in your work.

an idea

Have you thought about flower pots and other lawn decorations? Anything lawn and landscape oriented is going to be your best bet because your existing customers are obviously willing to spend money here.

Here is a sample of some of what my company sells, contact me if you are interested.
