That price of $8600 is close to $2000 below normal selling price of that unit. I know there will be posts that say they have seen them at less than $10,000 - but I would say that $8600 for a machine that looks like new, and has full warranty with it , is a very good price.

These engines have been on Scag for 2 years now, and they have been very, very good. No warranty issues at all , or any kinds of problems that I have heard of.
They aren't anything like the Kohler DFI's that had a ton of electrical issues last year.

One neat thing about this Kaw DFI engine - it is getting the exact same fuel consumtion per hour as the 31 Daihatsu diesel is getting for Scag. It burns 1.6 gal. per hour, at full throttle and full load , just the same as the diesel burns.

I had one just as descibed, good machine, runs quiet and has plenty of power. No problems, except the dealer having basic parts. I would highly recommend it to ya, they were a tank. I sold mine used for 8600 with 300 hours in july, and it had been used commerically. The only thing to make an adjustment on is on the right side by the hydro pump there is a bundle of wires that will make contact with the pump and short out, but easily prevented.

John Deere uses that same engine on their 797 Z trak's and in their mower catalog they say that it only burns .8 gallons per hour. There's a big difference in that and 1.6 gallons per hour as stated in a post above. That is a good price for that machine.

I have one and love it. I paid $9000.00 for mine. I think retail is like $10,300.00.
