I think ours run about $6 for both sides 2 color too. They will do embroidery on about anything that doesnt move for us for about $2 each.

This is a really cool idea though. Never really knew what they meant by burning a screen.

I have shirts done by a local screen printer (Advanced Printwear) in Madison Hts., MI 248-585-7114 as far as signs... this place seems pretty good

Hi Slcareco,

Check out the link fga posted. The kit is $32.00. Also see if you get some inks with them.

I would suggest just trying it out and experiment. Take some pictures as you go and show us what you did. You might mess up the first time or so until you figure out the nuances of this but you can do it.

You can also use the same process to make lawn signs. You may need different ink though.

twins_lawn_care, do yo have any photos of making shirts at the shop that you could share with us?

Hi Gopher,
We don't do shirts at our place, but I'll try and get a couple pictures which go through the process of silk screen printing over the weekend sometime.
That's why this post attracted me, as "why not try it".

Here's a link to a site that tells you a little more info.

http://www.ehow.com/how_10236_print-single-color.html

Does anybody know where you can buy the screen if you want to make your own screens? Not the frame the screen material.

Wouldn't there be a savings if you did more than 8 shirts?
