Marketing Technique

This really works. People can get your card even when you're not there. It's extra handy when people don't have a pen to jot down your number.

how did you ever decide to do that?

it looks like a really good Idea but I don't want people around my stuff when I'm not there.

I had the same idea, but used magnetic business cards on the back of my truck. I agree, I'd rather talk to the people, but it's better they grab your number than nothing at all.
The wrong kind of people around your truck is unavoidable, so I don't think this attracts more/less.

Great post though, I am sure more people will use this idea.

If I see someone taking a card, I usually try to hop off my equipment and introduce myself. If not, I just wave.......in any case, it has paid off.

Good idea. We had done that a while back on lawn signs, after doing an install. we would notice cards gone, but most of the time people would just jot down the number. They are too lazy to actually get out of the car.

Thats a really good idea. Where did you find the water tight (I am assuming it is) card holder?

I attached to my trailer a "take one" box with fliers inside. It did not work (same 10 fliers still in there). Posibly too cluttered with the near by tools, or people feel weird about walking up and taking something. My sign gets LOTS of attenton. It is 3'X 5.5'!
