Used Mower?

I'm looking to buy a used lawn mower. The owner said it has less that a 1000 hours 800-900 it does not have an hour meter so he is not sure. What my question is, what type of mechanical problems happen when a mower has that many hours. Its a Kawasaki 14 horse.

Those 14 hp kawis are some awesome motors. Last a good long time. I have one that is a 1998 or 1999 and never had a problem. Its a pretty strong motor for its application. If its been taken care of, no reason why its ready to die yet. Those motors are pretty simple and good workhorses. If it runs good and doesn't smoke, its probably still in good shape.

1000 hrs really isn't many hours on a commercial mower if it has been taken care of. Usually mowers don't start giving trouble until after the 2000 hour mark. This mower should last you a good long time with the proper maintenance. Hope this helps.
