Who are your best customers ???

I am finally starting to realize that most of my best customers

are ranging from ages 50 to early 60s.. They always make sure you get your

money like paying cash and will call you when they know they owe you money.

Some of my customers with kids are always running around and doing this or

that and seem like paying the Lawn guy is the last thing they are worrying

About !!! I NEED MORE OLDER CUSTOMERS LOL

THOUGHTS ???????

I have noticed that my older customers pay with cash!!! And after critical thinking I have figured out that normally back before we had all these checks and plastic cards that they would normally pay everything with cash!!! And. They still do to this day. However the new generations typically dont keep cash on them but often pay by either check or plastic cards. So if they don't have the money then it's a lot more convenient to just write you a check rather than make a trip to get you money from an atm or cash back.

All in all this is just my opinion on what I have observed. I'm sure there will be people that don't agree but hey we all have our own opinions.

This is correct! So far I've only advertise in the paper and 80 percent of my clients are older. Yes they pay fast for the most part but most don't care about the outside of the house anymore. They don't want any new installs because they won't be there to enjoy them in most cases and they are on fixed incomes. Getting paid fast is nice but not at the top of my list for things I would like in a client.

That is true but even thou younger folks tend to be more strapped for cash I also find them easier to get along with, they tend to be more forgiving and easier to talk into having things done my way, not saying this is always the case either but I find them more open to what I have to say, less argumentative I guess one might say.

And you have to be careful with certain older folks too lol
But I do agree that when it comes to having money, you're looking at 40+ with their children grown and preferrably out of college, still it never hurts to be the yard guy of younger folks because one day they will be old too hahaha which, admittedly by then I might not be worth much myself

My best customers tend to be the older ones (especially older ladies) just so long as there kids don't live with them then it tends stretches there budget. However the worst ones are the middle aged, to younger that are on on disability or unemployment. Getting anything out of them is like pulling teeth.

I love having retired customers. They don't spend their time working at a full time job, so (generally) they keep their property clean and want a good yard. And I definitely agree about older folks being better about paying.

A few things I've noticed about older customers...
-Pay on time and in cash
-Like to come outside and watch (no prob but could be a safety issue)
-Have tons of statues, flower beds, misc stuff in their yard from their past gardening days
-Want to talk to you when you have alot of work to do

All in all, I prefer older customers.
