No we just rolled them, I have seen others do the thing with a baggie and a pebble. But we dont really get too much wind here unless theres a hurricane coming.A few may blow, but always got excellent results.

I generally averaged 60 an hour. That's using the sidewalks and driveways, no crossing the lawns.

I could never do an 8 hour day of that though. My back (and legs and feet) start to kill me after a while.

But if I did do it all day, and factored in slowing down as the day goes on, I would guess I could get about 400 out in a day.

Here's a couple options ;-)

www.segway.com (a bit pricey!)
www.rad2go.com/q.htm (a cheaper "segway")

These are quieter then a gas powered scooter, and they have reverse so you could ride these right up to the door, rather then leaving it at the end of the driveway and walking up.

I have an idea..... You have heard of mass drops of propoganda from planes or helicopters? just print up a couple thousand fliers and drop them from an ultralight. The ultralight would be tax deductible, as well as the cost of the fliers. and you could get some spring cleanup jobs too, from all the loose paper flying around the neighborhood.

That reminds me of the sitcom episode of WKRP in Cincinnati. They had the Thanksgiving Day promotion and dropped the turkeys from the helicopter...lol and Les Nesman said, "I thought turkeys could fly".....that was hilarious...haha.

My wife and I did 100 in a hour in a pretty tight subdivision. We even stopped and talked to a few homeowners who were outside.

Sounds like a lot of you folks have taken the time to put out flyers. I just never figured that it would be worth it. What kind of sucess rate are you having?

Ya know.....I know I am going to get flamed for this one but what the heck....

We talk about this and we talk about that......what works and what doesn't....

Maybe its from reading the LONG post session about Justmowin a few minutes ago that has me thinking about this...I don't know.....

But look at the guys operation....over 1900 accounts......just by lowering the price to what most average homeowners can afford to pay.

Don't get me wrong, I like to do the high end residential customers as much as the next guy but dang.....look at his account stats...... I have been doing the math since I read those posts and it is nothing but pure $$$$

Yes, I have standards too, I believe in hard work, after all that is what my father taught me but......

We talk about flyers....which we spend mega $$$ getting made up for what a return rate of 1 %??? Is this really smart marketing on our part....

Forgive me....I am just rambling.....but there has got to be a better way!
