40 homes in a community average size beds what to charge?

I am about to get some work 40 homes with about a 15X5 bed, at each home. Each home has been mulched before and most of them look well maintained, not a lot of weeds in them. How many men, hours, and mulch to do this efficiently oh and how much to charge. This has to bed done twice a year, when should I do it, April and August? Please help

Visit more than twice per yr.stretch that hour to keep the beds from taking more than 10 min ea.

The application of chemical for weed control round-up etc...would be key
in keeping the time down.The cost of the chemical should be added into the final estimate.

3000 sq ft of beds mulch at 2" ea equals 18.52 yds or 19.00 yds.
19 x 65.00 per yard installed = 1235.00 (this should only happen once per yr.)

5200.00
1235.00
6435.00 total estimate

Thanks for the breakdown. another question, what months should I do the mulching?

I would do the mulching in April and November.

Apply the mulch in March so you go into the season looking great

The mulch should help to hold down the weeds and carry you through the
season.

If you apply mulch twice this year then it will not be broken down enough to mulch again in the spring.
Then you would have to reduce your estimate the
next year.

If the beds need a fresh look before the winter you should be able to fluff
the mulch with a pitch fork.

We are going to add re-dyeing to our maintenance detail this year, and see how that does. A nice fall turnover and a dye spray would have the beds looking great all winter.

im confused basically what ithink is roughly say 20yrds lets just say instead of 19 which you calculated.if you do it twice a year which he said that would be 40 yrds.right? so basically that is 1 yrd per house right?so i would say 40 to 50 bucks per yrd spread plus whatever the mulch is per yrd add that to the 40 or 50 for labor per yrd spread times that by 40 house and thats your estimate so take 50 plus say 30 a yrd of mix mulch that would be 80 bucks a yrd spread times 40 houses is 3200 for the estimate and i would get the job over you and make 50 an hr even more cause you can do a yrd under an hr plus a decent estimate to get the job dont know why it has my name up there that was not my estimate up top

take coffecraver at 19 yrds say 20 for 40 houses thats half a yrd each house. you have to do it twice a year so now where looking for a yrd per house 40 yrds right?multiply 40 yrds to an average mulch say 30 bucks that would be 1200 bucks or whatever your mulch cost per yrd.then you take 1 hr per yrd spread so thats 40 hrs total for the year.{twice} like you said.charge whatever you want per hr i do 40 to 50 depending how far you have to work with, times that by 40 hrs and you get 1600 to 2000 plus add the mulch cost of 1200 and get your 3200 for your estimate
