Waterfall off of brick wall

I am building a large patio at my house and wanted a water feature that would not require much maintenance. My idea is to do a waterfall with a filter falls type container that is 24" wide coming out of the back of my garage that backs up to my patio. I am going to build a retention pond for it and then on the sides of it at a 45 degree angle, I want two more 12" falls to drop down again to a bottom pond that will circulate back into the top. All this should be relatively easy and inexpensive since all I need is one pump, one filiter falls, wall material, liner, flexible hose. Just wondering if anyone has done this, seen it done or has any pics. Also any suggestions for running the hose back through the garage wall which is brick and hiding it? Right now, I think I will have to run it above the level of the water.
