Any experience w/bobcat 48" WB?

Just got this used yesterday. It's a hydro. Tried to run it on my lawn today, but it isn't cutting much. Sharpened the blades, no spacers. My bermuda is pretty low already, just wondering if it isn't cutting much because it's already so low.

Second season in the business...first commercial mower. Since I've seen a couple of threads about wives, my wife is very supportive, but she is wondering why this commercial mower, that wasn't cheap, is not cutting. She told me, "Looks like your Honda cuts better than that!"

Any advice is welcome.

Well, if there's nothing to cut...it won't cut! Wait till your grass grows!

If the deck comes on, with all three blades spinning then it is not physically possible for it to not cut. Must be your grass is to low / deck is too high.

I hear you, but since I just bought it used yesterday, I was praying it wasn't a lemon. Shouldn't cut if you want it too? Suppose I wanted to scalp it?

First thing, does the belts, spindles, blades spin when you activate the blades?

You can lower the deck by moving around the front spacers on the casters. Also you can lower the blades down just a little more by adding blade spacers. What you can do to see how high you are cutting. (with the mower turned off ) lift the grass deflector and spin the blade around so you can see it at the opening of the grass deflector area. Then make your adjustments.
