dry cut flagstone

how much feet do figure per pound when bidding. I am planing to use it on an upcoming job and unsure of how many pallets to order. any suggestions and yes i do understand that it varies with how the stone is cut. is there a rule of them though?

the thickness of the stone determines the amount. with limestone at 1" to 1 1/2" its around 100 sq. foot per ton. the useability of the stone determined by shape and size accounts for the waste factor. myself i'd rather be looking at extra material than looking for more matching materials.

If you are laying the flagstone without a cement base, I would not use anything less than 1 1/2". We figure about 80sq.ft per ton.
