Truck and Trailer for Hardscape Crew
What truck and trailer do you guys have for your hardscape crews. Last year was my first year and I really didn't have a truck and trailer designated for hardscaping. This year, I'm thinking of going with an 15,000 lb GVW mason dump and a 14' enclosed trailer.

We have 2 trucks designated for the hardscape crew. We have a 2001 Chevy 3500hd (15,000 gvw) dump and a 2004 GMC 4500 (17,500 gvw)dump. The 4500 pulls the skidder and the 3500hd pulls our 14 ft enclosed. If you can have at least 2 trucks on a site it makes things alot easier.

Not all of us have as much of the green stuff as you. I saw your rigs. Maybe someday???.
For now, I'm looking for another one in the weeds. |

Yeah I definately need an f-450. We use a dump trailer that can haul 4 tons, but it's hell on our trucks pulling it. There was a great deal on ebay for an f-450 but I need to get busy again before I go throwing $$ around. We start our first job of the season Friday and I'm almost booked through mid-may.

We have a Ford L9000 dump truck and an International dump truck that goes with the landscaping/hardscaping crew. Each can pull a bobcat if needed, or we have a ford F 450 that pulls the bobcat. We have all of our tools in a Cube van. Work out pretty good. Van has every tool possible that we need for any landscape/ hardscape job.

If, by green stuff you mean the trees that were made into paper that the bank gave us to sign, then yes we have a TON of green stuff. Chris |

We use a 3500 diesel Dump and a skid loader and trailer. Total cost $65,000. We will be switching to isuzu cabovers though the price of the truck is less than the trucks higher gvw and i can put a skid loader on top of it.
