Helping others

Got a call from a builder I know real well. This guys helped me in getting many other jobs. Went over and started putting his yard in his newest home and he came out and did most the raking. We shot the sh-t a lot and still managed to do it in 4 hours. He hasent decided on seed or straw so we only graded it. What should I charge

Sounds to me like you answered your own question. Perhaps you just made the first installment on paying him back. Reaping the rewards of friendship sometimes surpasses monitory gains.

Just wondering- the utility boxes in the back - are they on the property line or in the middle of the back yard? i cant really tell by the pics. how do u plan to hide them?
What ideas do u have as far as trees/shrubs/perennials/accent boulders???

for only four hours of your time, if he gets you alot of worked I would call it good. Hell I have spent four hours of wasted time on customers that dont end up hiring me more times then I could ever count

I would only charge him for any material outlay and give up your time as a show of appreciation for his help with your business.

I would imagine...that if he has helped you before, going over and helping him will get you even more work. Sounds like you will make more money not charging him, than charging him.

"Scratch my back and I'll scratch yours". Charge only for materials...no labor. The job looks great! You could shoot a marble across it...smooth.
