if you only had $1000 dollars to advertise, what would you choose?
This was my first year adverising budget
450 in truck lettering for the box truck
100 in full color buisness cards i got 1250
150 for 5 collared polos embroidered .. 5 wal mart pants 5 hats embroidered and a new pair of estimating boots
100 dollars for the ink and paper for my flyers
100 dollars in magnetic door signs for the other truck and the daily driver
900 dollars I guess i would still have 100 to spend
sorry i messed up
hats were 10 each
shirts were 106 total
pants were 10 each
boots were 25
231 dollars my budget is spent
I would choose either a one colour flyer on coloured paper or two coloured flyer on white. Full page, 8.5/11. you could probably get 10,000 delivered and still have a few hundred left or for lettering.
I voted for the flyers but while I was clicking I decided that buying yard signs and truck lettering would be the better way I could spend $1,000 right now.
Don't buy yard signs, they go missing. As far as Lettering and uniforms, you could get all dressed up and not have any clients. Word of mouth only works when you have a hundred clients.
Send out flyers.
Decal your trucks.
most important is lettering the truck . then go from there..

Without a doubt its flyers and doorhangers, you need to reach as many people as you can, make a very professional design and it will serve you well.
what are you going to do all dressed up in a lettered truck with no customers?
those things are great, but not first by any means
