10w-30 Or Sae 30

    Kawasaki 25 HP - Will oil consumption increase if I use 10W-30 instead of regular SAE 30 weight oil? According the Kawasaki manual, I can use either one to our outside temperature range here in Tennessee. What do you think? :usflag:

    I believe I have read that nonsynthetic 5w30 or 10w30 used in mower engines will increase oil consumption. Sae 30 cannot be used below 40 farenheit or engine damage could result do to lack of lubrication. So if that is the case then mobil 1 10w30 or a similar brand should be ok. Hope this helps

    30W would be better but 40W would be even better during summer months.....
