One thing about oxygen-acetylene, many places won't refill your tanks unless you are going to buy three tanks a year. Check first, before you buy, if you can get them refilled.

CD why would they care how many you buy? You just take the tank in and they swap it for a full one. Then you give them the money (probably more money than the guy that gets 1 a month)and you leave. Why would they turn down such a simple profit?

BHB once again you have snookered me in to your little game. Ask the question wait for responses then show everybody you already knew the answer( well your version) KTPRU

What are you talking about Mark? I don't know the answer. I just don't know if I should use what I have or get the new one that is all. I'd like a cutting torch but don't know the first thing about the gas stuff maybe I should not mess with it right now?
    Thanks

vipermanz, speaking of cutting I got a reciprocating saw the other day (aka sawzall) and I'm impressed with it. I like it alot much better than the jigsaw and steel blade

Not to get off topic but I also got a 3/8" butterfly impact wrench that is sweet! I've used them before so I knew I wanted it not a conventional gun type. They're lighter, smaller, have better balance, etc. almost like a cordless screwdriver in the way you hold and use them. Great for changing blades, no banged up knuckles anymo'!

Was at Walmart tonite and saw a Campbell Hausfield (SP?) 80 amp (3/16" capacity) wire feed welder for $259. Puts it between the two at Lowe's for about the price of the lower model. I am leaning toward the higher one at Lowe's 1/4" capacity. I went out and piddled around with mine again today just to remind myself how miserable it makes me to use it so I will not mind spending the money for the new one LOL think I am going to pick it up tomorrow.
