So I can't make up my mind! I'm looking at these three machines in 60". I only mow my own property which is about 3 acres. Probably will put on 60 hrs a year. May pick up a few yards on the side down the road.

    New 930m (Kawi) $8400
    New 915b $7300
    Demo 12' 925m (19 hrs) (efi) $8400

I know all these machines are overkill for my use but I dont want a residential machine. Im worried that the 915 may struggle with power with the 60" deck? Any help is appreciated!

I have a '13 930m 60" 25.5 Kawi and really like it. Just wish I had got the suspension seat.

I have the '12 930A for 2.5 acres of grass and love it as well. Likewise, I wish I had gotten the suspension seat. At some point I'll investigate a retrofit...

Deere says the new suspension seat will not retrofit to any model made before '13. Now, the suspension insert they have had for a few years that fits between your seat and the pan will work. I am going to have to get that same one for my Z950.

The 915 will do fine with it's 23.5 hp Kawi and the 60" deck. I had a Z720 with the 25 HP Kohler that is now correctly rated at 21.9, and it ran the 60" deck with no problems what so ever. The 925 EFI is only 24.6 hp and there are several guys here in the commercial forum who own one of each version of the 925- the 24.5 Kawi and the 24.6 Kohler efi, and they all say the same thing- the Kohler is noticebaly underpowered compared to the Kawi.

Yeah, I was afraid of that. Anything is adaptable, just different degrees of difficulty. :) Do you happen to know the part # for the insert you are talking about? I might give that a try first.

I just called my dealer and it is part # TCB11252 approx $328 depending on your exact dealer.

Yep, you can fit about anything, but according to the guys here, it takes drilling a bunch of extra holes and a new steel seat pan (the one that flips up that everything is actualy mounted to).

Wow, looked that up and it looks nearly identical to what I had seen on the '13 z930r. I was more expecting it to be the one with 4 rubber bumpers under it. I'm pretty sure if that TCB11252 fits, I'm buying it.

Now for '13 you have a choice of no sus., the rubber bushings, the insert, ot the full sus seat.

That insert with thaqat part number is what they gave me for pre '13 machines and is supposed to bolt right up. I use mine for my business and I have to do something, 'cause it's kicking my arse.
