Any other input on what services I should offer? I live in Virginia so we don't get that much snow.

Thanks for the feedback guys, keep it coming!

I understand on the snow part, I'm in Northern VA. Not enough to warrant a snow blower

Also, does anyone recommend a particular broadcast spreader? I am in the market for one and I am not wanting to blow $$$ for a lesco. What brand should I go with or what spreader in particular should I buy? Any more advice on the services I should offer besides mowing is much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

Unless you are getting into some serious applications, the Home Depot/ Lowes cheapo spreader will do just fine.... But like they guys mentioned before, be VERY careful about applying ANYTHING to ANYONE'S lawn. Some states have laws against even simple ferts that you can buy down the street. And actually, I think your age is the biggest concern for this. So, unless you are spreading salt with it, I would get together with your Dad and read up on the Laws and Regulations before applying a single granule....

Honestly I would pretty much forget the idea of doing lawn apps, the reason I say this is that there are so many things that can go wrong now aside from the fact that it might be illegal in your state you could do some serious damage on the environment (algal blooms... **** like that) you don't want to have the epa all over your ass because you accidentally got nitrogen in the run off drain and now your neighbors pond has 5 heads. Now I know this is very unlikely, but why take the risk. So if I where you I would not advertise it but I would get a cheep spreader and if someone asks you to put down some weed and feed on their lawn go ahead. Do your research, look up what type of lawns your state have for one but also do your research on the effects of fertilizer on the environment and the ways you can avoid doing any damage. Thats my advice you don't have to take it but I would.

Thanks guys, I think it would be used mainly for spreading seed.

Also if you were to be purchasing a walkbehind blower what would you go with? Little Wonder, Billy Goat, Hurricane Blo Vac (314), any other suggestions?

    Thanks

I've already got a BR600 and since I run solo another backpack is of no use to me. I live near a heavily wooded area and need the benefits of a walk behind blower.

    Any input?

    Thanks

Well a 314 would definitely be out of your price range, whatever it may be.

How would you get a walkbehind mower and blower around?

All of the accounts I service are withing walking range, ugggh:dizzy:

Haha on a serious note, I will purchase a used garden tractor to pull a trailer if i get enough work to warrant it.

Thanks, anymore input on a walk behind blower type.
