14 hp kawi blowin oil

    I have a 14 Hp KAWI on my W/B blowin oil.It's blowin out near the front next to the muffler. Any ideas changed oil today and still blowin.Seems to be coming out near the base of the engine. THANKS EVERYONE:cry:

    You need to change the base gasket. Nearly every single cylinder Kaw I've ever seen does this by around 1000 hours.

    mine has always had a seep in that area. the kind of seep where if it weren't for the dust marking the tiny amount of oil you'd never know it.

    How serious is this base gasket and is hard to find and change??Is it best to let a dealer do the work??

    :blob3: if your not sure where the gasket is, let the dealer do it.

    The engine needs to be removed from the mower and the crankcase needs to be opened up. It's the gasket that runs all the way around the engine when you open it up. You might as well replace the governor shaft and crankshaft seals while you have the engine open.
