18 hP vertical shaft

    I have five of these brand new in the box, at one time we manufactured a mower using this model

    Spec 58501 model MV18 vertical 1" shaft

    700.00 plus actual shipping

    You're gonna have to do way, way better than that. I can get Kohler 25s for less than that shipped.

    Thats a Kohler Courage engine.

    Who cares? The difference between the Courage and the Command is small. No oil cooler or engine clean out plates. Stuff like that. The basic engine is the same.

    The point is there are cheap engines out there. $700 plus shipping for his surplus engine ain't a great deal.

    Kohler Courage and Command are two completely different engines.

    I do agree he's not giving a great deal. But not with the fact the two types of engines are similar.

    Who cares, it's just unsolicited advertising anyhow and I wouldn't buy from someone like that regardless of price.

    His engines are neither of those. MV18 is a Kohler Magnum, cast iron, verticle engine like the ones that Scag used to use on their larger walk behinds. Much more expensive than the aluminum ones used today.They were replaced by the command engines due to cost and EPA regulations. :usflag:
