I'm with newz on this one, Get a rebuild kit for the fuel pump and that should do the trick.
Bingo! newz, yur' DA' MAN! The rebuild on the fuel pump did the trick. This baby is running better than the day I brought it home new. It cuts through tall wet grass like a knife through hot butter. Like you stated, the see through fuel filter doesn't near fill up when running, I'd say somewhere between 10 and 20%.

Regardless of how many hours on engine, ten years is old enough such that your rubber, that is, fuel lines, should all be replaced.
