1989 f-250 problem

    ok well i just got this and im trying to start it, but every time i go to charge it and put the the postive on then to put the negative it starts to turn over. dont know what the problem is would like some help asap. thanks

    Sounds like the starter solenoid is stuck closed.

    I second a stuck starter solenoid.................

    or the key switch is shorted. Common Furd problem. Disconnect small wires from solenoid on right side fender well inside engine compartment. If it stops, its the key sw, if it still does it, its the solenoid.
