    Hello everyone.
I am in the process of buying a
    1997 F250 4x4 XL no A/C
    regular cab
    auto tranny
71k miles Gasoline engine 8/10 total shape( few rust spots that can be fixed and airbag light is ON)
My little ranger might retire this year after 6 years of plowing, towing and driving around.
*Is $5900.00 good for it ?
*Do I have to do any modifications to the front suspension in order to put an 8foot maybe a 7.5 foot plow. Do I have to add a tranny cooler?
*Am I gonna go through the same nightmare of changing tie rods and joints every year?
I know it will be way better than the ranger. But my customers doubled this year,so the little truck will be the backup. and I can't afford a new truck or even close to $10k (lots of bills need to be paid off first) even though I love to.
    I appreciate all the help.Thanks

Should be in the trucks trailers forum but anyway.....

These trucks have heavy suspention front and rear, no need for timbrens. My f-250 drops 1/2 inch raising the plow- 8' HD fisher. Make sure you get a good look at the undercarrage, rust is a killer with these trucks. If its solid, well worth 5-6k especially with 70000 miles.

Speaking from a Blue Book perspective that's a really nice truck with low miles, but the price seems a bit high... You should Blue book it yourself to see where it stands, as for the air bags you should always assume it may not work so wear your seatbelt and drive safely :)

    But it's nice, real nice.
The white color makes up for the fact it has no a/c, they stay cooler in the summer.
I still think it should be closer to 4 or 5 g...

The price is a bit high. I have a 97, decked out with extended cab and book value is right around 5,000.

It has over 120,000 miles but its in great shape with all the bells and whistles.

I would not pay more then 4500 for that truck.
