Should be good. If your concerned, get a Carfax report.:)

Yeah, one thing that plagued some 7.3's was the camshaft position sensor. It;s a 20 dollar part and only requires a ratchet and socket to replace.

Overall its a good truck like someone said the cam sensor needs to be changed around every 60,000 miles $60-$100 on ebay and a 10mm socket takes about 10 minutes to change. The tranny's are also a area of concern. On my 01 the tranny puked at 112,000 miles. Some people have gone 300,000 on the stock tranny but I bought my truck used with 88,000 miles on it so I can't say how it was treated before me. There were a few other little problems but overall its a great truck and motor. If you have more questions go to www.intelidog.com there is a lot info on these trucks there.

the 01's had tranny problems, cuz they put new updated clutches in them, they ended up not working, and they had a recall on them. yours might not of ever been takin in to be fixed.

my cluch expolded at 102,000 miles. but i put a luk(sp?) in it fine now. and mine had an issue with one of the plugs on the heads blowing o rings. same one kept blowing the orings, finally went to the dealer they have an replacement pulg that fits better and solved it. great trucks if you decide not to buy tell me were and how much
