1st Patio pics

    This was my first patio, im 17, It was around 700 sf. of pattern bluestone. Lots of pics from the excavation all the way through... Let me know what you guys think!!!:waving:

    looks good! how many inches of base did you install & what did you use for edge restraints?? can't wait to see the finished pictures!! Great to see other successful young guys out there!!

    we used 5in. compacted base, and will be using BEAST edge restraint.

    I wanted to go at least 6in. base but customer and stone supplier said it would be overkill, i disagree though:nono:

    Did you just use the sand as you went instead of covering the whole base first? I'm referring to Pics 3 and 4 in your second post of pics. Looks great by the way.

    Yes, I'm sure thats how he did it! You never want to put more sand down then you can get covered in a days time.

    yes we only put down as much sand as we could get layed each day.
