Has anyone ever used the 2 cycle powerheads offered by J-Thomas? They have 2 sizes and look to be reasonably priced. Tony

I've seen them but I can't figure out why someone would buy one unless they were building something custom. There usually isn't a whole lot of difference between the cost of the powerhead and buying the whole tool.

They're both around $100 and a new trimmer is over $300. That's a little bit of difference.

I'd never seen them in their catalog or on the website until a friend told me about them. I wonder who makes them and if they're anygood? Tony
PS Here's a picture of the webpage.

    Hmm...

Those more than likely are of Chinese origin. I'd be a little leary of them especially given the 25:1 ratio. That's an awful lot of oil in the gas and they may be trying to make up for deficiencies.

But, on the other hand they may be fine engines. I don't know. The engines I saw at $200 were Hondas and a couple of other brand names.
