I've got a 2004 TTHP, and when I turn the key off, it don't kill like it should, it idles for a couple of seconds and then it shuts itself off. It didn't used to be like at. The other problem is the safeties don't work, when you let off of them, the mower lowers in RPM's but it don't kill it... Where do I need to look? I am hoping that someone out there can help me out.... I'd greatly appreciate it...

Sounds to me like the electrical system has a bad ground. It's not grounding the ignition coil instantly.

Bring it to your nearest dealer and tell them you problem, they should be able to identify it right away. Easy fix.

If you are handy, you can check the wiring harness. There should be a black wire, or group of wires connected to a ring terminal, that usually mounts somewhere on the engine block. You may want to disconnect that and make sure there is no corrosion, paint, or even if it was loose. Put it back together and check it.
