2 x 8 retaining wall base

    Enyone ever use treated 2 x 8s as a base for the 12" pavestone retaing walls? I saw this beauty shop having it done this way. Looks kind of slap upish in a way. looks straight although they arent getting it real level. I figure its low buck as they may not afford a lot. Interesting idea if it dont rot or sink in spots or something

    I do a lot of Pavestone walls each year and I have never heard of or even considered building a wall that way. You are right. It will eventually rot away and start to sag within a year. You should talk to the business owners and tell them that when that wall collapses they can hire you to do it the right way.

    nope, me niether. Never even think of doing something like that :rolleyes:
