    How come you need a DOT# for this truck? Different guys say diff things

    From my understanding anything over 11,000 gvw needs a dot number in new york city

    Federal law says any vehicle over 10k GVWR needs DOT numbers if you driver from state too state. Different states my allow you too operate without them inside the state. Usually a Google search can answer your question.
