I have a guy about 25 minutes from me and I am wondering if it is a good enough deal to check out the mower he's selling. Again its an '04 Scag 36" hydro with a 16 horse kawi for $1200, could probly get him to go a little lower. He says it has low ours and is in great shape. Whats this mower worth?

How many hours on it? Is it a fixed or adjustable deck?

I called my scag dealer yesterday and he quoted me $5100 for a new 36" hydro fixed deck with 16 hp kaw. OUCH!!!! Thats seems like a good price if the hours are reasonable.

WOW, 5100 seems like a lot for any 36" hydro. This one is a fixed deck, and I really have no idea of the hours except that he said they were low, which could mean anything. I think I'm gonna go take a look at it tomorrow just to see what hes got.

seems like a good price depending on the condition and number of hours

So I went and checked it out. I would guess the mower has 300-400 hours on it. Everything seems to be in good shape, hydros are strong, engine is as well. I just wanna be sure its a good deal because I dont absolutely need the mower right now but will in the future.

Scag 36 belts about 1 or 2 years old and around 200 hours are going for $1800 -$2100 on craigs list. Thats seems like a very reasonable/go deal for hydro Scag walk.

I never had any problems with my 36 fixed wb.
