Just bought this mower used with a little over 700 hours. Going to service it from top to bottom. what type of oil do you recommend? Also regular or synthetic?
I took it for a spin and also noticed that maybe the engine wasn't running up to speed. I assume 3600 rpm is the norm under no load. What is the best way to test this?
    Thx

I would first go to our website hustlerturf.com and on the bottom of the page you'll see a link to manuals. Download your manual and it should have most if not all the answers you seek.

No load on the engine would be 3600 rpms. I run a mini tach of a plug wire.

I recommend exactly what Kawasaki says to use. But I'll pass along anything the field may say.

Do you know what maintenance has been done on the hydro system ?
The filter and oil is expensive , and possibly overlooked . Three quarts of synthetic
engine oil and a kawi filter is the cheap part . Change the plugs too ;-/
Don't forget the deck zerks !
