Hey guys, just wondering what your plans are for your 2014 marketing campaign. This is for lawn and landscape services.
When / how do you contact your customers about next years services? Now, or in the spring?
Flyers- do you pass out flyers to the same area multiple times, if so when?
Specials to get people to sign up for the season?
    Any insight is appreciated.

I'm just starting up, but here is my plan:

I'm starting flyers late february in about five different areas. As well I will run an ad in the newspaper fri, sat, and Sunday - to reach older clients. I will probably return to my target areas late march and do another flyer run. I don't have any specials to advertise on the flyer, but I will do that if I can get a face to face with someone on a great property.

Ill use Craigslist, and try and direct traffic to my website. I am not expecting to get a lot of customers from there.

I'm still working on web design, but I think that'll help

Be careful on craigslist! There is a lot of people on there looking for next to nothing prices!

I can tell you this hand out business cards like crazy. Start a master mailing list of specific people you talk to; even if you don't get their business this year, you can continue to stay in contact. The only thing I ever got from Craigslist was somebody from the yellow pages bugging the sh*t out of me.

I'm going to target some quality commercial properties in my area that are owner occupied or that I know are owned locally and not part of some large chain or development company and send them a email and note with an estimate form introducing myself and inquiring if they would like service for the season. It will be free and not take allot of time. Most business listings will have email contact info.
