Ending up getting a 2015 337 with a 14' contractors dump body. Truck should be done by next month.

What gvw did you go with on the new Pete? And what was the main reason you decided to go with pete over like Freightliner or International?

26,000 gvw.. For the one the looks of the pete are a lot nicer.. I had an internatinal so i def wanted to switch it up on that end. I priced a freightliner it wasnt that much cheaper then the peterbilt.

Is there anywhere you could shave 700 #s off that truck ? For my 299d and head I would need 14 k capacity . That way I could put a regular driver in it and be under 26k

Take the wheel lift off and the tool boxes.. Only fill the fuel tank up half way ..

Did some checking today and sounds like there are heavier beds more suited for equipment. How careful do you have to be with the bed when loading equipment? Do you have to raise the bed a lot to pick off attachments after loading stuff?

I like these trucks but am surprised how spendy they are.

Why not look into a hook lift? Will do the same thing plus double as a dump truck. I wish I would have done this years ago

Yeah, the hook probably would do all the things I'd like but have not checked too much in to them. I've always thought they were spendy and have not seen too many set up right. Probably the last one I really liked was that pink Pete hook from a couple years ago here.

When i had my internatinal i had a deck rating of 14,000 from what i was told that is the highest you can get before going into the cdl which i want to avoid all together with the pete. Stueve put the body down drive your machine off pick bed up grab your attachments from the side..
