I searched for "Hydro oil" no results, I searched for "Hydraulic Oil" lots of results, but none related to hydraulic oil ???

Anyways, I just got my hydro filter for my Cub Cadet Tank 27hp Kohler, and the sticker says use 20w50, the mower shop has some off brand stuff for hydro systems on mowers, being some brand I've never heard of I'm skeptical of the quality of the oil. I've seen somewhere on this site before, but can't find it now, that Scags recommend you use Mobil 1 full synthetic when changing the hydro oil. The only Mobil 1 full synthetic I can find in 20w50 is branded as motorcycle V-Twin oil, and Valvoline has some 20w50 full synthetic oil branded as Racing Oil. I've looked at Walmart, Auto Zone, Advanced Auto, and O'Reillys. My question is this the right stuff? What do yall use, the mower shop stuff or motorcycle oil? Both are about $10 a quart

You should be fine with 15w50 Mobil 1. My mower originally came with 20w50 mobil 1, and since they changed it to 15w50 thats what the Manufacturer told me to run.

What manufacturer, Mobil or your mower manufacturer? Are you saying Mobil changed its 20w50 oil to be interchangeable with 15w50 or are you saying the new mowers are using hydro motors and pumps designed to use 15w50 instead of 20w50?

I found this thread from google about Hustler mowers changing from 10w40 to 20w50 in their hydro systems back in 2009...

It was the mower manufacturer that told me to use 15w50 Mobil 1. That was about 500 hrs ago and I have not had any problems.
