I'm looking into buying an enclosed trailer. Would a 20x 8.5 be to big for mostly residential route? One dealer told me an 8.5 wide is to wide for residential streets. Any thoughts or input would be helpful.

Stick with the 8.5. We have two enclosed one 20' & 24' and the 8.5x20 is just fine. The 24' is a little big but it is used for com jobs

Just be careful driving with it. I have a 18x8.5 and some how i clipped the one fender on something and have a little dent in it. Not real noticeable though. 8.5 is wide, but the extra space is worth it.
