With the wet season already a disappointment I lost probably half of the ground speed on my toro proline. Engine is running smooth, replaced the drive cable last season and has run great the past few weeks. Seems maybe a 1/4 inch is all it takes when squeezing the handle to engage the drive. Any help I would greatly appreciate

Unit is going into it's 5th season

Is the only issue the slower ground speed? Which model Toro is that?

Yes the only issue is the ground speed, engine is running great. Could barley pull itself up the trailer ramp. Model #22188 6hp kaw

Update.... After replacing the cable and belt I still had a problem, took it to the dealer and after the mechanic scratched his head for quite sometime trying a few different things come to find out the bracket was bent back from use over the years. First time he had seen it but after nudging it up all seems fine with the speed. Had to think about how much use this mower has seen and I kinda of figured it out to be over 15,000 lawns :weightlifter:
Wow!!!! cant complain about this unit as over the years I have only replaced the belt and drive cable once
