I bought a used 21 proline early last year and it worked great untill the end of the year when it seemed that the rpms were down a little and occasionaly it would act like it wanted to stall while I was mowing. Anyone have any ideas of what the problem could be? Thanks for any help.

If its a 2 cycle, It sounds like your "jets" are clogged. Im no expert but thats what it sounds like to me.

Ditto that, other possibilities are intake leaks, check carb mount bolts for tightness, air cleaner cleanliness, dirty fuel filter or if it is in fact a 2 cycle check exhaust port and muffler for coking.

See if you can find a product called ''Sea Foam'' it is made for 2 and 4 cycle engines, it is great for carbon build up and a general gas treatment/ stabilizer also, I use it year round in 2 cycle equipment
