Today my 210S locked up. Took it apart tonight and the piston skirt is shattered. The last few times I've used it (almost daily) it has been running very fast and figured something was up.

What I need is an idea as what might have caused this and a list of parts I should replace along with the piston and ring.

And I need it quick, I use them alot.

    Thanks MW - Update ..

I did call and spoke to Dalton. Long conversation short, he said it was very odd for this to happen and would personally like to see it instead of me taking it to a dealer which I don't have locally, 50 mi. away, bought them new online. I've had them 2-3 yrs.

He said the cost for repair would basically be shipping. I would have been satisified with the repair of mine, but yesterday he called and will be sending a NEW unit!

Now this is the way a company should handle service problems. The hedge trimmers are the only Tanaka product I have but will not be the last.

Thanks again MW, Dalton and Tanaka
