I have a scag walk behind that has been running perfectly (200+ hrs) until now. Suddenly, it has started flooding.

There is a large amount (ounces) of fuel in the bowl below the air cleaner. Does it have a float? (acts like it is stuck open) and any ideas, short of rebuilding the carb, to unstick it??

    Thanks,

    Rich

It's not likely stuck, Probably got a piece of trash stuck in the float needle. Drop the bowl and remove the float shake it feeling for fuel inside if none is felt, Spray some carb. & choke cleaner in the needle port and thru the center where the bowl nut screws in and re-assemble. If it still floods replace the float needle valve. Don't forget to change the fuel filter.

along with cleaning the carb as Rob said above, make sure you check the vent tube coming off the top of the carb. Make sure it is clear and not pinched anywhere. also a good idea as kawasaki recommends now to lenthen that vent line all the way to the back of the engine away from the cooling air being blow down in the front of the engine and affecting the pressure in the float bowl.
