What is the best way to keep a 23 horse kaw running great and running long maintenance wise?
If it's a brand new motor the most important thing you can do is break it in properly. Follow the manufacturers guidelines to the tee. Change the oil and oil filter as soon as you start noticing a change in the color of the oil (especially in the first 100-200 hours). Check the air filter, and oil level every day before running the motor. After that follow a strict maintenance regiment changing the oil & filter, and fuel filter.
I've run Opti-4 oil in both of mine since day 1. I change the oil and filter regularly and keep the air filters clean.
