It seems you NEED the heavy duty post hole diggers just to use the 24" bit? can a wide auger fit on a smaller one or will it damage it eventually?

Ill be using a sub compact simplicity tractor, was originally looking at a much larger john deere, but due to costs, about half the price of the JD stuff i was looking into and already have 0% financing with simplicity, thats what im getting. But i need to use 24" augers to plant larger plants/small trees. Im not worried about speed as long as the thing can mount on correctly and work property even if its slow with 27hp diesel motor. what do you guys think?
