Slapper , These magnets are not marked on their poles and they are all off except 1 . How the heck do I tell wich is N and S..If laid on a table end to end should they attrat or push away from each other...Sorry if this question seems stupid but I have no idea

you need a small magnet ....touch it to the center, it will stick or repel..
You have 3 poles on each magnet...outside left ..center...outide right..3 NSN and 3 SNS magnets on the flywheel for a total of 6 magnets..
    Alternate the 2 different magnets..

BTW...you should probably tap on the magnet that didn't come loose...
If it comes loose when running it will destroy all the magnets and the stator.
They were all glued on at the same time...with the same glue...

Kohler does not recommend this procedure or even recognise it is possible.

Slap Slap Slap. What can I say. All depends on who's working the sandpaper. Sort of like who's gluing magnets back into a flywheel.

Guess it is possible to crudely crosshatch a cylinder by hand with sandpaper...
As long as you had an idea of what the finished product should look like...
It all depends on whose shadetree you learned under.....
