I heard some of you talking about a new 26 inch mower, maybe X mark? Anybody have some new info? I would appreciate it. For some of you out there, I did a search and I have a license, so theres no need to answer like that.
Which is exactly what a homeowner brand mower is intended for .... unless it's some commercial type of unit.proenterprises said:i have one which was made by mtd. 6.5hp and 26" cut. in my opinion, its a great machine for occasional use.
Man, we have not even gotten to see this darn thing yet. From what I hear, it looks maybe like an old Dayton, with a low deck in the front, and the engine at the back over the rear wheels.khutch said:Exmark has introduced a new 26" mower. It will be in addition to the current line of Metro's. Honda + Kawi engine choices, 6 HP or 6.5 HP. They were selling them at a local "Pro-Day" this week for $1250. They had them on display but you would not be able to take delivery until about April. Then the cost goes up to $1500!
$1,500.00 for a 26" mower. Unless this will be seing 35+ hours of use per week, why would you spend this much on that small of a machine. Granted, mine is an MTD, and is a "homeowner" machine, the only problem I have had with it in the 2 seaons I ran it was the blade engagement cable. I paid about $350.00 for it online and it was my primary machines until I got my walkbehind this past season. Its paid for itself many times over.khutch said:Exmark has introduced a new 26" mower. Because many landcapes have turf where the end result LOOKs better with a smaller lighter machine, and if the machine is designed right, it will probably be just as fast to complete the job on small landscapes. I have never seen a 32 IN REAR BAGGER which the new 26 is supposed to be. I have a hydro 36 why would I want a 32 when a 26 will allow me to park the 21's.TClawn said:why would anyone spend 1500 when you could get a 32 inch belt for $500 more?
I went to their website, the closest dealer from here is Bakersville, NC, an hour and a half. I wouldn't mind going over the mountain to get it, but a three hour round trip for warranty work, or parts, would be a pain. It's an Ace hardware, so they may not even do any repair work.Jeff@SGLC.ca said:Encore Classic 26"
