Given the choice of these two products (3/4" Minus crushed gravel or 1/4" minus crushed gravel), which do you prefer as a base for pavers (under the sand of course). And why do you think your choice is better than the other?

3/4" minus! Our 1/4" is mostly dust and liquifies over a short time.

3/4 drains water a lot better and typically has the right amount of fines (obviously where your getting your aggregate from might be different) and 1/4 tends to have to much fines, holds water, and doesnt get the right compaction.
this is just the little bit i know/experienced

The larger rock, 3/4-inch, will give you better lateral stability, even in a walkway. Use the 3/4 minus if it meets the proper gradation, and has between 6-12% fines, material passing the #200 sieve.
