2 questions.. time to complete for 3-4 passes and time to start looking better once mulched.

fyi, all i would do is cover the discharge chute and add gator blades

If she is paying you 500 for that job and you run it over with some gators and even with a mulch kit shes gonna be pist. You have no grass the mower isn't going to suck that crap up unless you cut on 1.5 inches.

Sub it out to a sucker (in every sense of the word) that has a bagging system for 400 and pocket the hundred.

Go to your Walker dealer and ask to demo a machine for a day.

  4. Not to mention all that sand...I would charge 1-K, get 2 more guys and have 2-3 blowers, rake and bag....

I would say thanks but no thanks! Looks like a major pain in the a$$! Or rent a leaf sucker.

We mulch all the time, including live oak. The leaves need to be spread out, we raise the mulching deck 1" above our usual cut and make a slow pass, sometimes two (1/2 inch lower).

Once done mulching we use the blowers to spread out the mulched leaves. Too much concentrated material in the grass invites fungus.

$500 for 3 acres is low.

Easymoney, did you use mulch blades and open chute and take or what was tithe process? Looks pretty darn good. But that's a 1/2 acre ;)
