304ccr track rollers

    3 of my track rollers are leaking .....cat says 280 bucks each...they don't offer parts.
    Is it just the extreme cold making them leak ?
    Can you re build them?

    It's not worth rebuilding, the seal kits could be 15-25% less than a new roller, and after you add up the labour and parts you will be paying more, and it might just be a band-aid.
    Cold temps have a lot to do with it too, I blew a roller last year on my CTL, best thing to do is take a tiger torch on a propane tank and warm the rollers up a bit.

    I wonder if that's why I blew the seal in my final drive? That happened on a new drive but in a nasty cold storm.

    yeah a couple did that on my yanmar. Hell with it, they'll lock up oneday and I'll replace them then.

    Noticed the same things on the front idler of my Daewoo excavator, filled it up with gear oil and it just poured out. Guess that another thing on the list to fix.. or sell it first.
