30hp Kohler

    When will these be avalible. My dealer spoke with his rep. and he said some time this summer. PJ, do you have any info. on this? Also, the price.

    I would also like so info on whether to go with the 30hp or the 28EFI on a 60" Super Z. Spec's are about the same. If you had a choice of these two engines, which engine would you guy rather have.

    I just replied to another thread and answered your question.
    I can not give you pricing on a 30hp Kohler powered unit yet, it is not available, you should be able to buy one sometime in the spring.
    We are awaiting Kohler's release of the vertical shaft version.
    As to a 28 EFI vs a carbed 30hp..... hmmmm I have always been very partial to the EFI, its fuel economy can really be appreciated, with the price of fuel and all..... it also has more of a on demand power when you get into the thick and heavy stuff.
    The 30 is new, it is of the same family of the Command series, so it is a proven design...

    Easy... EFI. I think even 28hp may be overkill.
