Need advice on 32” walk behind vs 36 “ walk behind. I have been trying to decide on a new mower. Most of my rear yards are accessible with a 36” but approximately 20% would need a 32”. Are 4”less that big a deal as the cost is pretty much the same?

We have 32's and 36's, to me theres really no difference in productivty. 4 inches will not make any huge difference.

The 32 is nice because you dont have to worry about not being able to fit in any gates. With a 36 you will still not be able to get into every backyard.

what is 20% to your company? if 20% means 2 lawns then get the 36". if 20% is 20 lawns get the 36". i think this info is much needed to make an educated reply. i personally would get the 36" unless it meant that i was pushing more than 4-5 back yards.

Well there's no educated guessing ,here we cut mostly under 1/4 acre lots. That includes front and back yard. We carry 32's & 36's cause most the homes are old and still have the small 33-34 inch gate. Yard up the street 40 inch gate ,it takes us the same time to do both yard's. Same size lot and about same trimming. Push mowing all day stinks, get the 32.
