    12.5 is Minimum...15hp is Preferred.

Better yet Purchase a 21"/6hp Kaw, Proline/Metro and Forgo the Whole 32" Belt Drive Fiasco.

I have a 32" with the 12.5 kawi. This thing kicks ass. It will cut off 6" of growth going 4th gear with sulky and me weighin in at 210# I would definately recommend a 32" as a 36" wont fit through some gates. And a 21 will fit but NOT be as fast. I only have one lawn that I use a 21 and that's because the 32 WILL fit but NOT be able to turn around. Good luck andy more questions feel free to call me (303)598-3949 or 100*894993*15

I repowered my Bob-Cat 32 with a 12hp Briggs electric start, it came with an 8hp or something. They come with a 12.5 Briggs now. I'm a big guy and it pulls me with my Jungle Wheels just fine. That was 4 years ago and it's still going strong. Beware though, my 32 has only one wheel belt per wheel and when it get's wet it slips. A 36 would have a double belt/pulley. Still, I haven't found a gate I couldn't get through.

12.5 kohler (wish it was a kawi) on my metro. Its cuts tall grass better because than anything else I have. Just like lawncare3 said 4 gear and 6" grass is no problem.

I have a 12.5 on my 32 and haven't found anything in reason that it won't get through.

I think the Scag 32" has some drive belt as the bigger units. We have 2 of these with 12.5HP and we used them many years. I would think the Jungle Wheels would be more trouble than it is worth on small yards?

And to be honest it handles the thick stuff pretty well. However 12-13hp is i think standard hp and a 15 would be even better. I kind of wish i had more horsepower but the mower is a 95' model and i can make do with it as a trim mower.

You'd be surprised how much time those Jungle Wheels save, I was. I had a postage stamp lawn that I always walked with the 32, I tried it with the J-W and I saved about 10 minutes at least. I also stripe this yard. It just takes a little thought beforehand. I used to walk it in 3rd gear, I ride in 4th now. I run a cleanup pass after I get through because the J-W leave a wider turn around mark.
